Online scores

Thanks to Factor Software's online scores system, you have the opportunity to share your scores with other BOOM players online.

This feature is available to REGISTERED USERS only.

To view the latest online scoreboard, click on the words "Online Scores" in the "TOP BOMBERS" screen (i.e., your local scoreboard, accessed either by clicking on the word "SCORES" on the title screen or selecting the corresponding item from the Game menu).
To update the list of online scores, click on the word "Download" in the "WORLDWIDE TOP BOMBERS" screen (i.e., the online scoreboard) or select the “Download Online Scores” command from the Game menu.

As an alternative, you can let the game automatically try to retrieve the online scores whenever the "WORLDWIDE TOP BOMBERS" screen is displayed.
To activate this feature, open the preferences dialog*, select the "Network" tab and switch on the checkbox labeled "Download Online High Scores Automatically" (this option is not active in the default configuration).

To share your scores with the online community, click on the word "Upload" in the "TOP BOMBERS" screen or select the “Upload Local Scores” command from the Game menu.

If you prefer, you can have the game automatically try to upload your local scores whenever a new high score is achieved.
To activate this feature, switch on the checkbox labeled "Upload New High Scores Automatically" in the "Network" tab of the preferences dialog (this option is not active in the default configuration).

*To open the preferences dialog, click on the word "PREFERENCES" on the title screen or select the "Preferences..." item from the Application menu.

Notes: during the communication with the remote server, the application does not send any information about you or your system to Factor Software.
To avoid server overload, manual access requests to the online scores system are limited to one every 30 seconds.
