ToolPicker:
Provides the ToolPicker dialog box when you hold down the Space bar while launching Canvas.  Controls which tools load in the Canvas application. Drop into the Canvas Tools Folder and launch Canvas.  Refer to the Canvas 3.0 manual for additional information on this tool.


AlignmentSpecs:

DESIGN ToolPAK - Descriptions

Bézier Text:
This tool is an enhanced version of the Canvas 3.0 version of this tool. It creates composite group objects that have integral character centers, using TrueType and PostScript Type 1 fonts. 


Bind:
This tool is a professional version of the Canvas 3.0 version of this tool. It offers increased precision and sensitivity to curve fluctuations when text or objects are bound along a path.


Blend Objects:
This tool is an enhanced version of the Canvas 3.0 tool. It offers advanced features for creating blends between objects and object groups, including greater control over the distribution of blended objects.


Envelope:
This tool lets you stretch, bend, and warp the bounding rectangle of any draw object or text object. The object conforms to the new Envelope¹s shape, creating exciting effects.


Extrude:
This tool gives a cut-from-granite look to draw or text objects by generating a 3-D effect composed of draw objects for easy manipulation.


Fractals:
This tool lets you apply fractal effects to draw objects. You can adjust settings to affect the amount of wiggle and the angularity of fractal shapes.


Layer Stamp:
This tool lets you place a dynamic object in your document that shows the name of a document layer and automatically updates if the layer¹s name changes.


Name Stamp:
This tool lets you place a dynamic object in your document that shows the document¹s name. The object automatically updates if the document¹s name changes.


Pressure Pen:
This tool lets you use pressure-sensitive drawing tablets with Canvas to draw Bézier curves of varying thickness. It also lets you simulate the effect of a pressure-sensitive pen using the mouse.


Smart Lines:
This tool lets you link objects with lines that automatically adjust if you move the objects. Smart Lines are useful for illustrations such as circuit diagrams and organizational charts.


Sounder:
This tool lets you add sound objects to your Canvas documents, slide shows, and QuickTime movies.


Spiral:
This tool creates Bézier curves in spiral shapes, and allows you to specify the number of revolutions in the spirals you draw.


Time Stamp:
This tool lets you place a dynamic object in your document showing the current date and time. The object can automatically update when the date and time change.



IMAGING ToolPAKS - Descriptions

Antialias:
This tool smooths the edges of paint images, and is useful when drawing curved shapes or typing text inside a paint object.


Chalk:
This tool paints in a manner that resembles chalk sketches.


Charcoal: 
This tool paints in a manner that resembles charcoal sketches. 


Filters:
This tool lets you apply filter effects to paint areas and create your own filter effects.


Fingertip:
This tool lets you smudge areas in your paint objects to blend them together. 


Luminance:
This tool lets you darken and lighten paint areas with special brushes, or entire selections using the Luminance submenu options.


Magic Wand:
This tool lets you select portions of paint objects based on colors. 


Masking:
This tool lets you mask paint areas to prevent them from being affected by other painting and editing procedures. 


Menu Palettes:
This tool lets you open the Image Effects submenu from the Paint Tools palette, without opening the Effects menu.


Rubber Stamp:
This tool stamps a series of paint objects in your document. You can also create your own stamp series with this tool.


Soften Edges:
This tool lets you blur the edges of paint areas or the area near the selection marquee/lasso. 


Textures:
This tool lets you apply fill patterns called textures to draw and paint objects. You can also create your own textures.


Three Color Airbrush:
This tool lets you paint like an airbrush using up to three different customizable buckets.


Water Droplet:
This tool blends adjacent colors in an image, creating an effect similar to dropping water on a watercolor painting. 



UTILITY ToolPAKS - Descriptions

Font Lister:
This tool lets you list the fonts in your document. This is helpful when sending a document to a print shop because it lets you send the printer the list of fonts needed to print your document.


Cache Group:
This tool lets you store an object group in memory so the group redraws quickly and smoothly.


GIF I/O:
This tool lets you open and save GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) files in Canvas 3.0.


Fine Kern:
This tool lets you adjust the space between letters in a text selection precisely by fractions of a point.


Imported Filters:
Imported Filters has two functions. The Acquire Image submenu lets you import acquisition modules for placing images, such as scanned images, in Canvas. The Imported Filters submenu lets you import filter effects which can be applied to paint images. You can import these modules and filters from programs such as Adobe Photoshop� and Aldus Gallery Effects.


MacroWindow:			
This tool allows you a window that displays the MacrObjects in the current macro set.


Menu Palettes:
This tool lets you open the Image Effects submenu without opening the Effects menu.


Object Data I/ O:
This tool lets you catalogue information about the objects in a Canvas document. This information can then be imported to a database, editor, spreadsheet, or word processing program.


PhotoShop I/O:
These options let you open and save Adobe Photoshop� files in Canvas 3.0.


Style Sets:
This tool lets you save settings for the Text menu commands in a style set. You can then apply the style set to text in your document.


Text Utilities:
This tool gives you the ability to specify text flow between multiple text blocks. More specifically, text within a text block can be distributed over several text block locations. Each individual location can have its own style, justification, etc. Text flow lets you specify the format of a text object so you can more easily adjust a page layout. 


Tool Loader:
This tool lets you load external tools that did not load at start-up from within Canvas 3.


Undo Killer:
This tool lets you turn Canvas¹s Undo feature on and off. This is very useful if you need to free up memory or if you need a slight improvement in speed because Undo is time and memory intensive.
